Thumbnail Image of Download Appliance Manufacturer Magazine - April Home Laundry Issue
Appliance Manufacturer is a fun magazine to read for any collector or enthusiast of vintage appliances, electronics and other vintage home products. This highly entertaining magazine covered the design and manufacturing areas of Major Appliances, Small Appliances, Small Electrics, Radios, Televisions and other electric home products from the mid-20th century.

Of particular interest:

Speed Queen redesigns it's coin-op washers with 14 distinct changes.

Norge changes automatic washers cabinets to zinc clad steel.

Packaged laundry centers by Westinghouse and Hotpoint. Including a Westinghouse Laundromat and sink combo built right over the washer.

Hotpoint drying cabinet.

Hotpoint's high controls and automatic bulk bins that dispense detergent, bleach and softener automatically! I'm not sure if any of these came into full production.

Congratulations on the addition of the new Westinghouse Electric
Range to your kitchen. You will find it one of the most responsive
and efficient electric servants you have ever owned ... You will
love the speed, accuracy and ease of use.

You'll find that many cooking operations that once took a lot of
time can now be done automatically. No longer will you have to
stand at the range and stir foods while they cook ... or lift lids
to see whether water has boiled away. No longer will you have to
guess when food is done. The accurate, automatic controls of
your Westinghouse Electric Range will give you the same fine
results, day in and day out, with a minimum of effort on your part.
Probably you have a fine reputation for your skill in baking. The
Miracle-Sealed Oven of your Westinghouse Range will delight
you ... it will give you perfect results every time ... without worry
on your part.

Perhaps, too, you have several pet recipes for foods cooked on
the Range surface . . . foods done exactly to the degree of doneness
that you prefer. Because your Westinghouse Range surface
units will deliver any degree of heat you select, you can cook
these dishes to perfection every time.

To get the results your Westinghouse is capable of giving, it is
important that you read this book carefully. In it you will find
detailed instructions on the care and use of your range. If you
follow these instructions carefully, your range will' give you many
years of trouble free service and you and your range will become
wonderful cooking partners.

enjoy a new degree of cooking convenience.
You'll be delighted at the way your favorite
recipes turn out-and you'll be equally pleased
with the wonderful way your new oven and
surface units take the work out of cooking.

There are two styles of Westinghouse built-in
ovens, as well as three different surface cooking
units. This booklet illustrates all styles
and gives detailed instructions on how to use
and care for them.

So, we suggest that you read this book carefully
and familiarize yourself with the features
of your oven and your surface unit. Then
you'll know how to make the best use of them.

As you may notice in the illustrations, the
main difference in Westinghouse built-in ovens
is the size. Westinghouse surface cooking platforms
were designed for versatility-one platform
has four Corox surface units, while each
of the others has two surface units and separate
remote control panel.

But, regardless of which oven or which style
surface units you are using, you'll get best
results every time, if you follow the directions
given for their use. And you can be certain
they'll serve you a long, long time, if you care
for them as suggested in this booklet.
