Also included in the 1976 brochure is the very rare model budget model WA. This is a 1/18 style washer, with a timed fill and 1960's style Deep Action Agitator. Appended at the end is the Tech-Tips introducing the new budget model with full views of the control panel, washer tub and agitator and cycle charts. Maytag Gyrafoam Aluminum Washer Brochure
This is one of the earliest pieces of washer sales literature history I have seen. It is a brochure produced in the mid 1920s selling the Maytag "Gray Ghost" washer. This fascinanting brochure was made only two years after Maytag introduced the first agitator in 1922. Its in color no less and printed on thick 8.5 x 11 inch paper, which must have been very expensive to produce in those days. A must for any early washing machine enthusiast. |
