It is suggested that 3/4 inch hose faucets be installed in the hot and cold water service pipes. Do not connect the washer drain rigidly into any drain pipe or sewer.
1. Remove the packing which holds the lid in a semi-open position and completely open the lid.
2. Remove the tub support packing from the top of the tub and remove the padding which protects the washer from the sup port bar. Do not remove the band of padding from around the washer shell.
3. Remove the hose from the rear of the washer.
4. Remove the crate base and screw the rubber-covered feet with nuts (in the cloth bag) as far as possible into the bottom corner gussets. Move the washer near its point of use.
5. Remove the machine compartment access panel.
6. Lay the washer on its front or on either side using the packing band as a protection for the shell.
7. Remove the rubber shipping cap from the top of the air vent tube on the mechanism housing.
8. Remove the two shipping hold down hook bolts and wood blocks which tie the mechanism to the center portion of the diagonal crossmember on the bottom of the cabinet.
9. Remove the tape from the hot and the cold water inlet spuds. Examine the screens in these spuds to see that they are in place.
10. Connect the hot water hose assembly to the hot water valve spud, using one of the hose washers provided in the cloth bag.
