FRIGIDAIRE'S EXCLUSIVE

Faster Heat-at less cost!

Years In the Making

Radiantube Cooking Units are Frigidaire's exclusive design, developed and manufactured by the Frigidaire Division of General Motors. Years of research are back of them and years of dependable service ahead-for you. They have been tested not only in laboratories, but in the kitchens of Frigidaire Electric Range users. And results
Page 5:

Spped and Economy with...RADIANTUBE UNITS

Have proved them for quality, speed, economy, and dependability.

Better Results

These new, fast Radiantube cooking units give sure results for all surface cooking. Five practical speeds give you accurately controlled heat for every cooking need. This means that regardless of the type of utensil you are using, or the kind of food you are cooking, there is always just the right heat for the job-fast, economical, and without waste. What's more, you'll notice a big difference in the better flavor, and more tempting appearance of foods. Foods are cooked in their own natural juices, so vitamins are saved, instead of being boiled out and poured down the drain.

5 Practical Cooking Speeds

HIGH - Super Speed for boiling water, to bring foods to cooking temperatures quickly.

MEDIUM-LOW - For any cooking or warming done in small utensils.

SIMMER - For active steaming of foods - or for making custards and sauces. Saves on current.

Super Speed for boiling water, to bring foods to cooking temperatures quickly.

MEDIUM-HIGH - An ideal heat for regular frying of chicken, chops, steaks, potatoes or similar fried foods.

LOW - For active cooking of larger quantities of food already brought to cooking temperatures.

Faster - 18% Faster! With Frigidaire's Radiantube Units you have as much speed as you'll ever need. No matter what type of utensil you use-you'll find it takes less time to prepare foods.

Thriftier - Because these new Radiantube Units are 15 % more efficient, you save on current. Their lighter weight gives more efficient heat transfer and higher temperatures. Guards against loss of heat.

Precision built of high-quality stainless steel. Test after test, even including frequent X-Ray photography, proves their quality construction. Many have been on test for over 4,000 hours.

Excess spillovers fall through the vent in the center of the reflector shield to the drip tray from which they can be easily removed. When necessary, stainless steel reflector is easily removed and cleaned.

Most advanced cooking unit - MONEY CAN BUY!

BIG "Even-Even" Oven

Bakes and Roasts to Perfection

The oven is the heart of any range and here is an oven that has the biggest heart you've ever seen. Not just in size alone, but in convenience, economy and sure results.

Faster with Twin Units

Every Frigidaire Electric Range household model has a heating unit at both top and bottom of the big oven. The oven preheats to 400 degrees, 30% faster than many modern flame-fuel ovens. And then it automatically holds the temperature just right.

Greater Convenience

In addition to the twin heating units, "Evenizer" and automatic controls, the Frigidaire oven has adjustable, selflocking, but easily removable shelves. The oven shelf guides, stamped right into the oven lining, have no bolts or rivets. Entire oven is easy to clean.

Saves on Current

Unlike flame-fuel ovens, where the flames burn constantly, the Frigidaire oven uses current only part of the time. Because thicker insulation is used, less current is required. You'll find it actually costs less than lc each to bake six large loaves of bread.

Even Heat

The lower unit in the Frigidaire oven is equipped with the famous "Evenizer" that distributes heat evenly throughout the entire oven. That's why baking and roasting results are so perfect-why pies, cakes and biscuits are so nicely browned and roasts so evenly done.

Super Size

The big oven, and it really is big-17" high, 16" wide and 19" deep, overall- will take a huge holiday turkey-whole batches of pies, cakes and biscuits. You'll find ample room for complete oven meals, and all the good things you'll want to prepare.

Cooler Kitchen

Even in hottest weather, a Frigidaire Range never heats up your kitchen. An extra thick blanket of spun-glass wool surrounds the oven on all six sides. Even when the oven is being used for high temperature roasting, the heat stays in the oven, and out of the kitchen.
Page 7:

Double Duty Thermizer Cooker

Cooks a whole meal for less than 2 cents!

One of the greatest time and money savers you ever saw-a big 6-quart deep-well cooker that you'll use every day, either for preparing complete meals . . . cooking several vegetables at one time . . . or for small baking jobs.

It Cooks! Ideal for the economical cooking of whole meals-meat, potatoes, vegetable and dessert all at one time. Also for cereals, soups, fresh vegetables, stews. Excellent for sterilizing baby bottles. Easy to clean and keep clean.

It Bakes! By replacing the Thermizer utensil with the baking grid, you have a very efficient small oven for baking a few potatoes, apples, custards, and similar foods. This makes it unnecessary to use the regular oven for small baking jobs and thus saves time and current.

HIGH SPEED BROILER

Makes Broiling as Easy as Surface or Oven Cooking!

BIG! You can prepare a whole meal at one time on Frigidaire's big broiler. Or enjoy extra large, thick, juicy steaks . . . appetizers for a crowd of guests.

FAST! This Frigidaire Broiling Unit produces a quick, high heat that is intensified by a special reflector, making possible faster, more economical, better broiling.

UNIFORM RESULTS! The broiler pan and grid can be placed at just the right distance beneath the unit, and the unit is designed so that its heat is evenly distributed. Foods placed at the edge of the rack are broiled just like those in the center.

EASY TO CLEAN! The sturdy steel broiler pan is finished in porcelain-as easy to clean as a china plate. Most models also have a smokeless type grid plus a special reflector that prevents foods from spattering on the oven ceiling.
