Frigidaire Proudly Presents the Remarkable New Frigidaire Automatic Washer with Live Water Action
This is GM Frigidaire history at its finest. Here is the full brochure handed out in stores in 1947 to show off General Motors entry into the automatic washer field. Large format 8.5 x 11" and has beautiful illustrations as well as full details on every aspect of their new automatic washer. This machine, like GE's first automatic washer spun at 1140rpm, so fast in fact that no top loading automatic washer has yet to beat this spin speed. While many changes happened over the years, the up and down pulsator style agitation of this machines is considered by some to be the best ever produced. Today we only know of one actual surviving 1947 model with all of it's original parts. |
