Here is an interesting find. It is the standard owners manual packed with every Maytag wringer washer from the early 1950s, except with this came the operating instructions card to operate a GAS Maytag wringer equipped with a Briggs and Stratton Engine! Models include: E2L,J2L, N2L, E2LP, J2LP and N2LP. |

Maytag Gyrafoam Aluminum Washer Brochure
This is one of the earliest pieces of washer sales literature history I have seen. It is a brochure produced in the mid 1920s selling the Maytag "Gray Ghost" washer. This fascinanting brochure was made only two years after Maytag introduced the first agitator in 1922. Its in color no less and printed on thick 8.5 x 11 inch paper, which must have been very expensive to produce in those days. A must for any early washing machine enthusiast. |
